Uganda, Netherlands Boost Aquaculture Farming with €6 Million Investment
The Government of Uganda and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are stepping up efforts to transform the country’s fisheries sector through a €6 million programme aimed at expanding aquaculture and reducing pressure on natural fish stocks. The Minister of State for fisheries, Robert Migadde Ndugwa, met the Netherlands Ambassador to Uganda, Frederieke Quispel, to review the programme's implementation and discuss ways to encourage fishing communities to embrace fish farming.
