【吹奏楽】⼦供の魔法の杖 より（The Wand of Youth） 作曲：E. エルガー（Sir Edward William Elgar） 編曲：⼩林 久仁郎（Arr.by KOBAYASHI, Kuniro） ----- ＜楽曲解説＞（Music Commentary） 　《子供の魔法の杖》は、エドワード・エルガーが少年時代に書いた音楽を、後に2つの管弦楽組曲として完成させた作品です。幼少期の空想劇のために作られた旋律をもとに、円熟期の豊かな管弦楽法によって再構築されました。本版は、2つある組曲から「序曲」「小さな鈴」「野生の熊」の3曲を抜粋し再構成されたものです。 1.「序曲」 　生き生きとした躍動感にあふれ、幻想世界の幕開けを告げます。 2.「小さな鈴」 　軽やかなリズムと透明感のある響きが印象的で、きらめく鐘の音を思わせる楽章です。 3.「野生の熊」（終曲） 　力強いリズムとユーモラスな表情を持つ活気ある音楽で、熊たちの荒々しくも愛嬌ある姿が生き生きと描かれます。 　子供の自由な想像力と成熟した作曲技法が融合した本作は、この2つの組曲にあえて作品番号「1a,1b」を与え、創作の原点への敬意と象徴的な意味を込めました。エルガーの温かな旋律美と色彩感を味わうことのできる魅力的な作品です。 "The Wand of Youth" is a work in which Edward Elgar transformed music he had written as a boy into two orchestral suites in his mature years. Based on melodies originally composed for childhood fantasy plays, these suites were reconstructed with the rich orchestration of his later mastery. This version is a compilation of three movements selected from the two suites: "Overture," "The Little Bells," and "Wild Bears." 1. "Overture" Brimming with vivacious energy and rhythmic vitality, this movement heralds the opening of a fantastical world. 2. "The Little Bells" Characterized by light, dancing rhythms and transparent sonorities, this movement evokes the shimmering sound of bells. 3. "Wild Bears" (Finale) A spirited piece with vigorous rhythms and humorous character, vividly portraying bears in all their rough yet endearing charm. This work represents a unique fusion of childhood imagination and mature compositional technique. Elgar deliberately assigned the opus numbers "1a" and "1b" to these two suites, expressing both reverence for the origins of his creative journey and symbolic significance.
