Welcome to Freiburg im Breisgau, one of the most beautiful cities in southern Germany! 🇩🇪✨ In today’s Germany travel vlog, I’m exploring Germany as a German together with my American husband, showing him (and you!) authentic German culture, history, food, and everyday life. During this Freiburg travel guide, we start our day with a traditional German breakfast, then take the Strassenbahn (city tram) to explore Freiburg like locals. We visit the famous Freiburger Münster, Freiburg’s impressive Gothic cathedral, and stroll through the lively Münsterplatz market, where you’ll find fresh local produce, handcrafted goods, and classic German specialties. We also stop by a traditional cuckoo clock (Kuckucksuhr) store, explore a museum and historic dungeon, and of course try delicious traditional German food along the way. Later, we head up to a scenic lookout point with breathtaking views of the Black Forest mountains and the Freiburg cityscape 🌲⛰️. In this vlog, we also return our rental car and officially continue backpacking through Germany, traveling the country mainly by train.
