The long-anticipated sophomore release from 1981 Inventions is here. LVL is a boos-, er prea-, uh...overdrive? It's hard to really nail down what it is, but it's fantastic. With straight-forward control set, sleek aesthetics and a wide range of textures it sounds great on its own and stacks beautifully with others. LVL delivers sparkly clean boost or always-on presence, rich low-gain textures, and thick, hairy mid gain overdrive that will send you down indie-rock or midwest emo rabbit holes.
