Corey Congilio - Live at Gold Diggers 6 23 26

Live recordings at venues like Gold Diggers offer an "in-the-room" feel that I hope my subscribers look for Andrew and I met up at Gold Diggers last night. Of course, Laurie (my wife and purchaser of pedals and my gear) met Corey first at the door. Parking was hard to find. It was a mess but Corey let us know where to park 1 block away. Wow, Corey's performance was hot right out of the gate. With his Collins guitar in hand, a Two Rock amp behind him and his array of pedals, this guy was dynamite with a guitar and vocals. His guitar was clean with some slap echo and major balls. OMG, that guy can play fast and clean. These 1st clips were taken from my Iphone until I ran out of memory. I will try to put the full concert on from my Go-Pro later. Corey's local band rehearsed on Monday. Killer players. Tim Pierce showed up to check Corey out. Laurie went up to Tim 1st and said hi. Later, Andrew and I said hi. Upon leaving, Tim went up to Laurie and said good bye and that "she made his day". Really nice guy The venue was dark and loud. The bass woofer was so loud that Laurie and I were bouncing on the padded bench that we were sitting on. The stage was cool. The venue had a control room mixing the players. 2 bands played before Corey. This place was like an old time speak-easy. A bunch of people were dancing. In closing, while standing on his own "two-feet" with his own style and vocal dexterity, I may have heard some Robben Ford creeping in occasionally. The band was tight and seemed to know exactly where Corey was going at all times. Everybody in the room got "schooled". (Where did he find that organ player?) Holy S. And the drummer was hot too.
