Bridges of Hope: From Foster Care to College | Sabrina Thomas | TEDxMarshallU
Sabrina Thomas, an Instruction and Research Services Librarian for Marshall University Libraries opens up about her childhood in the foster care system and her path to achieving success in her family and career. Her message of resiliency expands far past their time in the system to the opportunities that can be offered to them through their college experience. Sabrina reflects on the mentors and friends who helped her heal and develop resiliency and encourages us all to offer a hand that could change the course of a foster child's life and put them on a path of endless possibilities. For over twelve years, Sabrina Thomas has served as an Instruction and Research services Librarian for Marshall University Libraries. Ms. Thomas’s excels at teaching information literacy as a lifelong survival skill that characterizes informed citizenry empowered for a lifetime of learning.
