Perfect Dark N64 - Deep Sea: Nullify Threat Beta Remake

Hello, I'm finally back again with another remake. I'm going to be honest, when I first listened to this track, I didn't care for it much. However as is the case with most tracks that I work on, I actually become to love this version of Deep Sea. This one has taken a while to do as something has been really bugging me whilst working on the remakes for this game. Its the fact that I've not been able to locate the source of that creepy alien vocal/groaning sound, the one that's at the start of this track and included in a few others. I managed to get a reply from Graeme on one of his videos, but he couldn't remember where he got it from, just that it was from a sample CD back in the 90s. So, I spent many hours, obtaining and searching through these sample CDs, finding this particular sound would be like finding a needle in a haystack, I mean, we're talking hundreds of thousands of samples. I did find a couple that were close, but nothing exact. Until, just 2 days ago, I stumbled upon a comment someone left on one of the Deep Sea music videos. They gave the name of the CD and the exact name of the sample, I instantly checked it out and yeah, its definitely the same sample. If anyone would like to acquire this sample, its from the East West - Dance Industrial II CD, Partition D, Volume 008. The sample is labelled 60.6 Vocal. Now, a little bit of info on this track that I found out. I'm sure a lot of people are aware that this track was composed by Graeme Norgate, the track used in the Deep Sea level is pretty much identical for the first minute until it drops into that classic Grant Kirkhope beat. After doing a little bit of research, I found that Graeme actually composed this track in the very early stages of development for Perfect Dark. What I find really interesting is that a different version was used in the 1998 E3 trailer heard here.    • Perfect Dark E3 1998 Trailer [High Quality]   I found out that during these early stages, Graeme actually used a lot of the GoldenEye soundfont before finalising the soundfont for Perfect Dark. You can hear in the E3 version that the timpani and choir are not the same ones heard in the final version that made it to the game. There is also a church organ and French horn heard in the E3 version that would later be replaced with a synth bass and a trombone sample. Another bit of information relating to this track, during the development of PD, Graeme and a few others left to form Free Radical Games and began working on the TimeSplitters game. One particular track in that game is called Spaceship, It's an amazing sounding track sounds like it'd fit right in the PD soundtrack. An earlier version of this track, Inner Earth,    • Timesplitters - Inner Earth (Early Spaceship)   is described by Graeme as being a rough idea that he updated to eventually use for TimeSplitters. This early version includes the same alien vocal that he used for Perfect Dark. Now for my remake of this track, as always, I tried to get it as close to the original as I could. The only slight difference is that I really liked the way the timpani sounded in that E3 trailer version, especially near the end of the track where they're much more audible and hard hitting than in the final version. So I opted for that in my remake. I really hope you enjoy this one! FLAC Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V48R... Composer: Graeme Norgate
