Remembering Roy Buchanan plus Introducing Roy Buchanan-bonus
Around 1972 I was fortunate to be playing professionally in Melbourne Australia. The cover band named 'Cycle'...I was employed as bassist. The guitarist and Leader of the Band was non other than Mr David Briggs whom later went on to join 'The Little River Band'. I vividly recall the day David and I sat down to hear his latest guitar Album purchase's .. Roy Buchanan and Roy Buchanan's Second Album. The excited look on Dave's face as the needle on the spinning disk recaptured the exhilarating solo's with the pinched harmonics shear energy and attack executed with outstanding precision as they exploded out of the audio speakers, this will remain in my subconscious for ever. It still does every time I play these disks ... 'Sweet Dreams' & Tribute to Elmore James's Blues simply floored me... I went on to purchase every Album release from then on and still have them today. A great thanks,to Dave who shared these recordings with me back then.. This is uploaded for all the guitar players of the world to sit down and enjoy Roy Buchanan's story in one sitting. All rights to the original footage acknowledged. In the interest's of American guitar History and Education... All rights to the Buchanan family and hope the acceptance of this upload is permitted. This is no way used to make any financial gain for myself. But to share the and continue the recognition Roy Buchanan deserves...
