Is the gift of tongues we see in churches real? In this video, I answer this common question in Christian circles based on the Bible! The Bible presents six rules to be followed regarding the Gift of Tongues: 1- A maximum of three people should speak; 2- "And this in succession" (Verse 27). That is, one at a time, not ten or twenty speaking at once; 3- There should be a translator (interpreter) – 1 Corinthians 14:28. 4- It is understood by all (Acts 2:9-12). 5- It edifies the Church (1 Corinthians 14:5, 26). 6- It is enriched by love (1 Corinthians 13:1 and 9) People who received the Holy Spirit but did not speak in tongues: • The Samaritans (Acts 8:17); • The Virgin Mary (Luke 1:35); • Stephen (Acts 6:5; 7:55); • Saul, the first king of Israel (1 Samuel 10:10); • Gideon, judge of Israel (Judges 6:34); • Samson, another judge (Judges 15:14); • Zechariah, father of John the Baptist (Luke 1:67); • Bezalel, in ancient times (Exodus 31:1-3); • John the Baptist and his mother (Luke 1:15 and 41); • The seven deacons (Acts 6:1-7); • Jesus Christ (Luke 3:22). Language of angels?
