FastNed may be a new name in the UK but it's one of the biggest rapid charging networks in Europe and is expanding out of its native Holland into other countries. You can spot them by their solar canopy, which provides a welcome cover from elements. The company's 12th and latest hub in the UK is at Energy Superhub Oxford where you will find five 300kW charger units with 10 connections. Fastned is the first non-Tesla charging company to use what’s known as ‘Plug and Charge’ technology, where the charger recognises your car (once you’ve registered it with Fastned) and automatically charges your account.
