Today the Ramgi society Gobuk Village in collaboration with the Gobuk Gaon burah and the residents of Gobuk village Successfully organised a tagat tree plantation program. we extend our sincere gratitude to former president Shri Tadum Libang ji and Shri Adum Tekseng, gaon Burah of simong village,for their valuable support and joining us in this meaningful initiative. Importance of the tagat tree The tagat tree holds great cultural and traditional significance in our community.it is regarded as a symbol of the village boundary and is deeply connected to the beliefs and heritage of our ancestors. The tagat tree protects the village and its people from suffering and misfortune. If a tagat tree falls or die it is believed that and intellectual or respected person from the village may pass away. when the tagat trees remain healthy, strong and beautiful, it is believed that the village will prosper remain free from suffering and continue to produce wise and intellectual individuals. Historically during times of war in the era of our forefathers tagat trees were protect in the village gates and were believed to serve as protectors of the village. Today plantation program reflects our commitment to preserving this valuable cultural heritage and passing these traditions on to future generations.
