In the recent war in Ukraine, Gepalt, which was provided as a sort of inventory clearance, intercepted drones one after another, reaffirming the effectiveness of anti-aircraft machine guns. Although it was once said that anti-aircraft machine guns were destined to be replaced by anti-aircraft missiles, there are many countries in the world that are developing new anti-aircraft machine guns, and it is likely that they will continue to have a strong presence in the future. In this issue, we will look at 10 of the world's self-propelled anti-aircraft machine guns, a weapon that is being re-evaluated in the wake of the Ukrainian war. We have selected the following 10 types, both old and new. We will look at five of the newest types developed in recent years, and explain their performance.
