idk if i love how this came out but the song has been haunting me i needed to make this.. I think sometimes the fandom focuses too much on how Crowley changed Aziraphale and not on how Aziraphale changed Crowley. Crowleys growth over the series is much harder to see, but still important. I thought about making this edit from Aziraphales POV as I believe the lyrics fit both of their situations, however I thought that this was more unique (and i’m hyperfixating on specifically crowley rn). I'm sorta forming an AU in my head based around S3 and Crowley being very hurt by some of Aziraphales actions. So despite the fact that in the end Crowley was the one who chose to leave Aziraphale.. I've been thinking, maybe Crowley made that decision for a reason. Maybe the last 3 years of sitting in an alley way changed him. I am an Aziraphale defender!!! I don't think he's toxic (or atleast no more toxic than Crowley is), and I believe he never meant to hurt Crowley and only ever intended to protect him. I think his choice in s2e6 was the smartest decision he could've made in the moment (even if Crowley was right that it was hopeless..💔) however, it’s interesting to explore certain themes. in this edit i am trying to explore crowleys trauma with his former angel-self. I and many others thought that the line aziraphale says at the start of this edit isn’t powerful or loving, but deeply hurtful and horribly toxic (not to mention OOC). its ripping into a wound crowley had worked hard to heal. i just wonder how many times crowley wished he was still holy, and how many times Aziraphale had wished the same.. religious trauma is my favorite flavor of icecream #edit #goodomens #tv #davidtennant #mitski #edits
