Maha Vishnu, disguised as Narasimha, went to Brahmaloka and informed Lord Brahma about Veerabhadra Swamy. Then the three Trimurti together requested Adiparashakti to satisfy the Swamy. Then she sent one of her kalas (out of 16 kalas) to earth in the name of Bhadrakali to pacify the Swamy. But when the Swamy could not be pacified, she drowned in the river and came out disguised as a young girl. Seeing the young girl, the Swamy was pacified. The two of them got married in the Gandharva marriage method. The ashrams established by the great sages were called Muni Mandali, which later became Muramalla. Since then, the great sages have always performed Gandharva marriages for the Swamy, and this continues till date. Apart from devotees, the great sages Agastya, Shuku, Vishwamitra, Vasishta, Gautama, Bhargava, Maricha, Kashyapa, Markandeya and Narada were witnesses to the daily marriage of Sri Swami.
