Panasonic DMC-FZ330 (FZ300) and the FZ200 Video and Stills tests

In this short video I show the new 5 axis stabilisation feature, compare video quality at AVCHD 1080p using the Standard photostyle and the newer cinelike D profile (post process graded) on the FZ330. A comparison test to show ISO noise at 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 IS. Example of 4K photoshoot and 4K video rendered to 1080p. High speed video at 100fps (only 720p supported) sample image. What I'm seeing in this short comparison is that with this particular camera sample is that the FZ200 in most cases is showing better image quality in stills mode. When recording video and using the cinelike D profile the camera can hold on to highlights better. Audio wind noise seems to be increased over the FZ200 because of the change to the mic port size and position? When viewed in isolation the images are more than acceptable though. Whilst recording video I used Autofocus continuous (something I don't normally do) just to see how it performed as I know a lot of you prefer to work in this mode. Particularly at long focal lengths the image tended to start to hunt slightly which isn't something that you want to see in a clip. When viewing the noise test the 330 does appear to control the noise a little better however I still cannot recommend the use above 800 ISO. As a final note here the FZ200 was set up with my +2 sharpen -1 noise reduction setting which I have determined worked best for my needs in producing out of camera jpegs. The FZ330 had no adjustments to either sharpening or noise reduction.
