Nanotechnology: The Spies Inside Living Things | Ulrich Krull | TEDxUofT
Ulrich Krull serves as Vice-President at the University of Toronto and Principal at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Ulli can also be found as a leading professor of Analytical Chemistry. His current research explores the use of nanoscale materials and microfluidics chip technologies which can help build devices for the detection of DNA and RNA biomarkers. Krull is a professor of analytical chemistry at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). He holds the endowed AstraZeneca Chair in Biotechnology. He presently serves as Vice-President of the University of Toronto, and as the Principal of the UTM campus. He has also held the positions of Dean of Science, Vice-Principal: Research, and Vice-Principal: Special Initiatives. His research work explores biosensors, bioassays, microfluidics and nanomaterials, to create technology with applications in clinical/medical, forensic, agricultural and environmental areas. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
