The United States Marine Corps' incredible Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II returned to South Florida for an unforgettable demonstration at the Hyundai Air & Sea Show in Miami Beach during Memorial Day Weekend 2026. The F-35B is one of the most advanced fifth-generation stealth fighters in the world and is the only operational supersonic stealth aircraft capable of short takeoffs and vertical landings (STOVL). The Miami Beach demonstration showcased the aircraft's incredible maneuverability, power, and signature hovering capability. The F-35B was among the featured military aircraft at the Hyundai Air & Sea Show alongside the USAF Thunderbirds, F-22 Raptor, B-52 Stratofortress, B-1B Lancer, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and many more military demonstrations. The 2026 show highlighted America's military aviation capabilities over the beaches of South Florida. Powered by a Pratt & Whitney F135 engine producing over 40,000 pounds of thrust, the F-35B combines stealth technology, advanced sensor fusion, electronic warfare capabilities, and multirole combat effectiveness. The aircraft can conduct air superiority, close air support, reconnaissance, and strike missions while operating from amphibious assault ships and austere airfields around the world. The F-35B has become the cornerstone of Marine Corps tactical aviation and continues to demonstrate why it is one of the most capable combat aircraft ever built.
