The Cougars scored 35 unanswered points including 27 in the second half. Senior RB Caiden Miller capped the victory with a 4-yard score with 1:52 remaining for his fourth TD of game. Miller, a senior RB, rushed 21 times for 128 yards. Senior QB Jack Kristjanson completed 5 of 8 passes for 71 yards and a TD while rushing 10 times for 58 yards and another score. Montgomery’s defense and special teams also contributed. The Cougars came up with a huge goal line stand to end the first half, stopped the Bombers on another key 4th down in the third, and collected a turnover. The Cougars’ special teams also picked up a turnover in the third period. The third quarter stop on 4th down, and two turnovers were converted into 21 points.
