Frühmittelalter- und Wikingertage auf dem Mühlenhof 27/28.06.2026 / Earl Medival and Viking Days

Am Sonntag, den 28.06.026, war ich auf den Frühmittelalter- und Wikingertage auf dem Mühlenhof. Ich konnte mich mit einigen Handwerkern unterhalten und habe einiges über das Silberflechten, Herstellung von Glasperlen, Schmieden usw. lernen. Was sagte Georg Christoph Lichtenberg noch: „Man sollte sich nicht schlafen legen, ohne sagen zu können, dass man an diesem Tag etwas gelernt hat.“ Beeindruckend waren auch die Schaukämpfe, wobei Schaukampf untertrieben ist, es war eher nach Westeros Art 😎. Ich habe auch zwei Cosplayer getroffen und deren Unterschriften konnten Platz in meinem Buch finden. On Sunday, 28 June 2026, I attended the Early Medieval and Viking Days at the Mühlenhof. I had a chance to chat with some of the craftspeople and learnt a great deal about silver filigree, glass bead-making, blacksmithing and so on. As Georg Christoph Lichtenberg once said: “One should not go to bed without being able to say that one has learnt something that day.” The exhibition fights were also impressive – though ‘exhibition fights’ is an understatement; it was more in the style of Westeros 😎. I also met two cosplayers and managed to get their autographs in my book.
