Lifeboats — How to Play, and Why It's a Gem

This week's older board game gem is Lifeboats, originally published in Germany in 1993. Players have a number of sailors they're trying to get to safety on several leaky boats. They vote, vote vote: Vote on which lifeboat progresses, which lifeboat takes on water, and, when necessary, whom to throw overboard to keep the boat afloat!
