On Uttar Pradesh politics, he believes claims of a “₹200 crore scam” will collapse once the SIT’s final numbers show suspected pilferage is far smaller and largely recovered, leaving Congress and SP with no face-saving narrative. Gurumurthy predicts that the shelf life of the issue is just a few weeks, elections are months away, and Yogi Adityanath will ultimately gain by projecting the row as an attempt to defame Ram and align with anti-India media – strengthening his 2026 re-election prospects instead of weakening them.
