Friday Afternoon Club: How do I remove glue from a tubular rim?
It's the Frame and Wheel Friday Afternoon Club so Fred will demonstrate his technique for removing glue from an Alto Cycling CT311 tubular disc wheel. You need a well ventilated space, a heat gun, protective gear (gloves, glasses, mask, coat), good lighting, a bike stand and some free time. The technique is preferred to acetone as that approach is messy, produces fumes and is slow. You have to pay attention when you do this: the heat gun will burn you and it can cause a fire. Put your phone down and focus! If you have tubular wheels that you would like to sell, but cannot be bothered to set this system up, please let me know and we will take care of it for you.
