CNCCI clears fog over gutkha ban directive

The Confederation of #nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) held a press conference on June 15 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, to address confusion surrounding the state’s one-year tobacco ban. The CNCCI clarified that the ban applies only to food products mixed with tobacco or nicotine. Plain pan masala, they confirmed, is not banned. The confederation also discouraged tobacco syndicators and monopolies from attempting to exploit the situation in Nagaland.
