Gospel pass, the highest road in wales, a vista worth visiting, breathtaking, a must for bikers.

Breathtaking scenery of the black hills to the east of wales where wales meets England just past the famous book town of hay on wye, yes it’s the infamous gospel pass. The highest drivable road in Wales. 549m or 1801ft above sea level. On a difficulty scale of 1-10 I’d rate this road about a 3 it’s single lane with scattered passing places along the road , there are pot holes, but during wet season which is pretty consistent here in wales the roads can be awash with loose stone mud and broken branches and not to mention the roaming sheep and wild ponies, fortunately for myself this video was filmed on one of the dryer days in January 2025 here in wales, I travelled from Llangynidr up through Bwlch towards Llangorse heading east towards hay on wye then up the gospel pass heading south towards the oldest pub in wales (900 years old) the skirrid inn, apparently it’s really haunted too. Lots of history in this area along with stunning breathtaking views, a vista worth visiting at least once in your lifetime, Filmed on #insta360 x4 dji mini2 iPhone 16pro
