Making Ferrous Oxalate. Pyrophoric Iron.
In this video I will demonstrate a simple method of making iron(II) oxalate from ferrous sulphate and oxalic acid. Iron oxalate can be pyrolysed to make highly reactive particles of pyrophoric iron, which combusts upon contact with air. Ferrous oxalate can also be used to make potassium ferrooxalate or to decompose hydrogen peroxide. VK: https://vk.com/drstoler Instagram: / drstoler Music: Bay Breeze by FortyThr33 / fortythr33-43
