Voces y raíces: reivindicación contra la mutilación genital femenina | Manos Unidas
Voices and Roots: A Campaign Against Female Genital Mutilation On February 6, the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, the Bilbao branch of Manos Unidas organized the activity “Voices and Roots” in collaboration with the Zirikatuz Association. This event was part of a project to eradicate FGM in Mauritania, developed with local partner CCD and co-financed by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. The initiative consisted of a community-based process of dialogue and artistic creation with African people, generating a space to share experiences and raise awareness of the fight against this violence. It culminated in the presentation of a collective collage that reflects on tradition, present, and future, and on how to strengthen the protection of the rights of women and girls. #NourishPeace #UnitedHands 🌎 Learn more at https://www.manosunidas.org/ 💙 Follow us on our website and social media: 🌍 https://www.manosunidas.org/ 📘 / manosunidasongd 🗞️ / manosunidasongd 📷 / manosunidas
