Modou Mangawi Or Mdou Mangawi was born to a Kanuri father from Mainé Soroa (Diffa) and a Zarma-Songhay mother from Dessa in the Tillabéri region. Growing up in Kano, Nigeria, he was exposed to a rich blend of cultures that shaped his identity and outlook on life. Today, Mdou Mangawi lives in Great Britain, where he continues his journey while maintaining strong ties to his African roots.
