Baby boy scrappy quilt start to finish
Baby boy scrappy quilt start to finish Today I’m making a scrappy patchwork baby quilt from start to finish for my new great nephew 💙 In this video I sew part of the patchwork on my treadle machine before moving to my vintage electric Singer to finish assembling the quilt top. I share the fabrics I chose from my stash, some beautiful gifted fabrics, and the simple techniques I used to make this cosy play quilt come together quickly and practically. I also talk about: ✨ Using thermal wadding/batting with vintage machines ✨ Quilting without a walking foot ✨ Adding a top trim to orient the quilt ✨ Sewing and turning a quilt instead of binding it ✨ The meaning behind using inherited and gifted fabrics This project became more than just a quilt — it felt connected to family, renewal, springtime, and new beginnings. I also share a little footage of a pheasant and her chicks who appeared in our garden this week 🐣 Thank you so much for watching, for your kind comments, and for keeping me company while I sew. Your support truly means a great deal to me.
