Kirsta was the daughter of my first-grade teacher, Mama Fort, a woman who had a tremendous impact on my life. Over the years, what began as a classroom connection grew into decades of friendship and cherished memories with the Fort family. Though Kirsta is no longer with us physically, her beautiful spirit continues to live on through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she shared. To honor her heavenly birthday, I created this tribute song celebrating her life and legacy. One of the most meaningful lines in this song is: "Mama Fort was waiting when the Father called you home."
