Good morning, farmers, welcome back to my channel. With this video, we return to the 2025 harvest. We're following the Veneta Mais team with their Claas Jaguar 980 forage harvester. For transport, several tractors were used, coupled with dumpers from various brands, such as: 1) Vaia 2) Zaccaria 3) Da Ros 4) Feltrina 5) Durus Claas Jaguar 980 specifications: The Claas Jaguar 980 is a top-of-the-range self-propelled forage harvester, designed to meet the needs of large farms and contractors specializing in forage harvesting. Equipped with a powerful MAN V12 engine delivering approximately 884 horsepower (650 kW), it offers extraordinary chopping capacity even in the most demanding working conditions. The engine, with a displacement of approximately 24 liters, is managed by an intelligent system called **DYNAMIC POWER**, which automatically adapts power output based on workload, thus significantly reducing fuel consumption. The hydrostatic transmission offers two forward gears, with the option of *two- or four-wheel drive**. The maximum road speed can reach **40 km/h**, allowing for rapid movement between fields. In terms of dimensions, the Jaguar 980 is approximately **8.6 meters* long, with a width varying between *3.2 and 4 meters* depending on the tires fitted, and a height of around **3.9 meters**. The operating weight ranges between **13.2 and 13.9 tons**, depending on the version and the accessories installed. The heart of the harvesting system is the 42-knife *V-MAX* drum, which guarantees a variable cutting length from **3.5 to 12.5 millimeters**. The drum has a diameter of approximately 63 centimeters and operates at a speed of approximately 1,200 rpm, ensuring fine and uniform shredding. Hydraulically adjustable pre-compression rollers optimize material feed to the drum, improving cutting quality and productivity. In terms of range, the fuel tank has a capacity of approximately 1,300 liters, with an additional AdBlue tank holding approximately 300 liters. Finally, the Jaguar 980's cab is designed for maximum operator comfort, with air conditioning, a cruise-pilot system for automatic forward speed management, and the option to install NIR sensors for real-time analysis of forage dry matter.
