They were made even more accessible through whole housing kits available for purchase through the Sears Catalog, which is why you may find yourself driving through streets of house after house that are all slightly different variations of the Craftsman Bungalow in areas that grew quickly though an economic boom around 1910-1940. Hallmarks of this architectural style include earthy colors and textures, partially open floorplans with easy access to kitchen and living spaces alike, low pitched roofs, large decks, and lots of well crafted wooden windows, arches, doors, and more.
