Columbus Zoo | Big, Beautiful, Award Winning Habitats

We took our first trip to the famous and impressive Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This massive zoo has some stunning habitats and an impressive collection of animal species. As we continue on our quest to visit the best zoos in the world, we take this awesome attraction in while trying to avoid severe weather. Gaining fame from Jungle Jack Hannah’s Emmy Award winning “Into the Wild,” this zoo has won multiple awards for their habitats and outstanding work to show just what a zoo should look like. Not only is this a great place to see your favorite animals, but this massive property also is home to the Zoombezi Bay water park, and nearby Safari Golf club, and even offers rides and attractions inside the zoo itself including 2 roller coasters. We went in with high expectations as this was the most anticipated zoo in America that we had yet to visit. So did it live up to our expectations?
