Sundarbans, World’s largest mangrove forest is also the only “World Heritage Site” in Nature criteria declared by UNESCO situated in Bangladesh. This is the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. There are many myths, legends and fairy tales that have been told by generations in these regions. But the true human colonization of Sundarbans started during the Bengal Sultanate period by the hands of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R.A) and many other saints who made this area livable for many of their followers. Since then, the jungle region has gone through Mughal rule and then Britishers. The land has changed a lot in the past few centuries.
