Sunbeam Alpine Restoration (Part I - Restoring the metalwork)
This video is about the resoration of a completely rusted out 1965 Series V Sunbeam Alpine. The first part covers repairing the metal work of the body shell of the car. Wherever possible original panels were retained and repaired. Where replacements were needed we either had new panels made to the original specification or, when panels were unobtainable, we fabricated them ourselves. The aim was to make the car as true as possible with neat, even panel gaps before it goes to the bodyshop for final paint. Part II will be published in due course and will cover how we epoxy primed and rust treated the car to prevent her rusting out again in the future.
