Your Tank Is Stressing Your Fish (And You Don't Know It)

Does what you put inside your aquarium actually affect your fish's wellbeing? Not aesthetically — to them? There's a growing body of peer-reviewed science on this, and some of it genuinely surprised me. In this video I look at what the research actually says about substrate colour, tank backgrounds, environmental enrichment, hides, and the real vs artificial plants debate — and what it means practically for how you set up your tank. This is one of those videos I hope changes the way you think about fishkeeping.
