HIROSHIMA and MIYAJIMA - Japan Vlog | 広島と厳島

Approximately 2/3 of the way through our trip, part of our group took a break from coasters in order to visit a very important city. Hiroshima was, of course, the first city to ever be targeted by a nuclear weapon, permanently changing warfare across the whole planet. It was a somber visit reflecting on the devastation and destruction caused, and how it affected the course of history. But amidst the darkness, we also got to experience the light of beautiful Miyajima (Itsukushima). We got to go to the aquarium, meet some friendly deer, and even get up close to the famous shrine. Then we finished off the day with some manga culture in Kitakyushu. Overall, it was a day brimming with emotions as we were engrossed in Japanese culture and history. If you are on a Japanese coaster trip, I highly HIGHLY recommend spending time just BEING in Japan.
