Hello everyone! I'm a NEET who wants to travel from Japan to Africa without flying! Last time, I introduced the cities of Seville and Córdoba in the Andalusia region of southern Spain. This time, I'll be taking a ferry from Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar and finally entering the African continent, Morocco! 🇪🇸🇲🇦 The ferry departs from Tarifa, the southernmost port in Spain, and costs 40 euros (about 7,200 yen) one way! I'll be arriving at the port of Tangier, a city in northern Morocco! Tangier's ferry terminal is right next to the city center, and you can walk to the old town, where many tourist attractions are located! Some ferries arrive at the New Port of Tangier, which is an hour's bus ride from downtown Tangier, so I recommend checking in advance! The ferry journey took about an hour and a half. Also, be aware that you will need to go through immigration to Morocco on the ferry! Even though Spain and Morocco are very close, separated by the Strait of Gibraltar, the atmosphere and culture are very different and very enjoyable, so crossing the border by sea is highly recommended!
