Knitting Podcast 57: Cast-Off Carnage, Sock Madness & New Pattern Mischief

Welcome back to Knitting Podcast #57, where apparently I’ve been on a casting-off spree and left absolutely no project safe! Since our last chat I’ve sent a whole parade of finished objects off into the world, including the lilac Dagmar Jacket, the beige Bookclub Cardigan, a beautiful blue shawl with matching Penny Gloves, two pairs of Broken Rib Socks for my dad, and not one but TWO pairs of “Knitter” tennis-style socks for myself. Because if you’re going to knit socks, you may as well commit properly! I’ve also finished a scrappy shawl knitted from my lovely friend Debbie’s stash, proving once again that one knitter’s leftovers are another knitter’s treasure. Of course, no podcast episode would be complete without fresh knitting chaos. On my needles right now are two brand-new pattern designs in progress: a hat and a cowl. Will they behave themselves? Highly unlikely. Will I knit them anyway? Absolutely.
