Tegucigalpa tendría reservas para 40 días mientras represas siguen bajando

The water crisis in the Central District has reached critical levels, with water reserves that, according to municipal authorities, guarantee supply for only the next 40 days. Eliceo Castro, president of the Municipal Water and Sanitation Commission, reported that, despite the rainy season, reservoir levels continue to decline due to the effects of climate change. To mitigate this situation, the Municipal Water and Sanitation Unit (UMAPS) has intensified emergency actions, maintaining 12 water trucks operating 24 hours a day for the free distribution of water in various areas of the capital. Castro also announced that the municipality has initiated processes for drilling new wells in coordination with private companies and is working to acquire more water trucks, seeking to overcome the operational deficiencies inherited from previous administrations. #Honduras #Tegucigalpa #WaterCrisis Find more programs on #TVCPLAY by visiting https://www.televicentro.com/tvcplay Copyright © 2026 Televicentro
