My First Classic: 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe
15 years ago my parents sold me their beloved 1971 Karmann Ghia, a car my mother lusted after in her teenage years. This car in particular has been in my family since 1989. Since I purchased the car, I have spent countless hours working to keep it mechanically and cosmetically "perfect" while using it as an occasional daily driver. The car is 2 years out of a 5 year restoration. Join me in this video as I describe the wonderful simplicity of this car and take you for a drive to hear that beautifully tuned, all original 1600 CC Dual Port engine hum through the gears.
