$10 Clooblut RD218 vs $120 Tecsun PL-680 on Wai FM 11665 kHz from Malaysia #shortwave #radio

I love comparing inexpensive radios to more expensive radios. It is often quite surprising how well some cheap radios perform when compared to much more expensive versions. Of course, more expensive radios have many features, which makes them worthwhile for serious DXers. But less expensive radios certainly offer a lot to newcomers or those who are just looking for a budget radio. In this video you can see the Clooblut RD218 up against the Tecsun PL-680. The Tecsun is an amazing radio, a real DXing beast, with SSB. It is full analogue. But the little Clooblut holds up really well here on Wai FM from Malaysia, on 11665 kHz. You can also see the XHDATA D-220 at the end of the video, but I wasn't able to find Wai FM on the D-220. I think I was just impatient, I am certain that the D-220 will also be able to receive this signal. You just need to find it on the tiny dial. The Tecsun PL-680 is $120 from anon-co and $160 from Amazon. The Clooblut is $10 from Ali Express and $17 from Amazon. The XHDATA D-220 is about $15 from both Amazon and the XHDATA website. RAFFLE!
