MEDICAL EMERGENCY on the Gibb River Road… Helicopter Called In | Lap of a Lifetime Ep. 22

Welcome back to Sandy Expeditions! This week we continue our journey along the Gibb River Road, one of Australia’s most iconic and unforgiving outback tracks. After making it to Manning Gorge, we quickly realise the Gibb is only getting more intense. From brutal corrugations and endless dust, to river crossings, remote camps and some of the most spectacular Kimberley scenery we’ve ever seen — this road has a reputation for a reason. But things take a serious turn when a medical emergency unfolds deep in Manning Gorge, with a helicopter called in to airlift a woman out. Out here, you’re a long way from help… and this was a big reminder of just how remote the Gibb River Road really is. We also take a closer look at how the caravan is holding up on the corrugations, why reinstalling the Lotus mud flaps has made such a big difference, and how the ATX suspension handles some of the roughest roads in the country. 🚁 Medical emergency at Manning Gorge 🏞️ One of the Kimberley’s most iconic gorges 🚙 Brutal Gibb River Road corrugations 💨 Dust, river crossings and remote tracks 🏕️ Caravan life on one of Australia’s toughest roads 📍 Continuing our way toward El Questro The deeper we get into the Gibb River Road… the wilder this trip becomes.
