Richard & Linda Thompson - "Don't Renege on Our Love" - original version

The original recording of their classic song, with Linda on lead vocals. This was produced by Gerry Rafferty in 1980 but failed to attract any major label interest. Richard was never satisfied with the recording anyway, feeling it was too slick, so he shelved the results. He wound up re-recording it with himself singing lead (Linda was having voice problems and couldn't sing it) and Joe Boyd producing. Personally, I think Linda sings it better - they ought to remix this version (make it less 'disco-ey') and release it.
