The vanishing twin syndrome - the surviving twin

More than one in 8 pregnancies start originally with twins or multiples. Only around one in 70 births are twin births. Many embryos die during pregnancy. Even if the twin died early, the survivor often has lifelong feelings of guilt, sadness, loneliness and of something that is missing, a longing, all the time.
