EP 28 Navigating the Biggest Challenge on Our Great Loop - the Overnight Gulf Crossing!
In this episode we leave our anchorage and head to Apalachicola for one enjoyable night and then on to Carrabelle to be ready for a weather window to cross the Gulf. Along the way we meet the Super Loopers on the boat Manatee that have done the Great Loop 35 times! We encounter below freezing temperatures and then finally get the green light to cross the Gulf on February 2nd, 2026. It was rough for the first few hours but then began settling down and ended in warm Clearwater with a stunning sunrise!
