Here you can find the round whetstone with key ring: https://mydartpfeil.com/produkt/darts... First and foremost: dart tips are consumables. For this reason, you should take care of your tips regularly and maintain them. Depending on how often you play darts, you will need to regrind your dart tips more often. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, you reduce the number of unnecessary ricochets on the dartboard. Secondly, you protect your dartboard in the long term and increase its service life. The reason for this is wear and tear. Dart tips can become blunt, bent or splintered over time. Now you're probably wondering what we mean by that. A dart tip automatically becomes blunt after a long period of play. You can compare this to a pencil, which needs to be sharpened after a certain amount of time. In addition, steel dart tips can bend. This happens, for example, due to bouncers. So-called burrs can also form on your tips, which can damage your sisal board in the long term. Burrs are small wires that come loose from the tips. When pulled out of the board, these burrs become entangled in the sisal fibres and loosen them. For this reason, these small burrs cause enormous damage to your dartboard. Now let's move on to the optimal shape for your steel dart tip. There is a big myth here: dart tips must be pointed and sharp. Some dart players think that sharp tips stick better in the board. However, the opposite is true. Sharp dart tips have the following disadvantages. Firstly, they stick in the board less than round tips. Secondly, they damage the wires of your board more quickly. For this reason, we recommend rounding off your tips. These stick in the board much better. They also reduce the number of bouncers and slide past the board wires more easily. Good luck grinding your steel darts! #steeldart #grindingstone #darts
