Why This Music Man Majesty Couldn't Be Set Up Properly

This Music Man Majesty came in with a complaint that the action simply couldn't be set up properly. At first glance, it looked like a straightforward refret job, but once the frets were removed, the real problem became obvious. The fretboard geometry itself was causing issues that no setup adjustment could ever fix. In this video, I remove the original stainless steel frets, repair fretboard chip-out, correct the fretboard geometry, adjust the fret slot fit, install a new set of stainless steel frets, level and crown them, and polish everything to a mirror finish. Sometimes the frets aren't the problem. Sometimes they're just revealing a deeper issue hiding underneath.
