Ommen, parel aan de Vecht
Ommen ligt aan de Overijsselse Vecht, in de streek Salland of specifieker het Vechtdal. De plaats wordt al rond het jaar 1100 genoemd als doorwaadbare plaats langs de Vecht. In 1248 kreeg het stadsrechten. Vandaag de dag is het populair bij toeristen vanwege de landelijke omgeving en de vele parken en campings.
