I was out for a month to rest, spend time with my family and tried meditating with using Headspace app. This is a long overdue vlog about my 14 hour study for my removal exam and I hope you were able to grasp some coping mechanisms to destress while studying as well as techniques to retain information faster. It was also my first time documenting myself while studying and it's really challenging and I admit I was not able to capture everything but I did the best that I could. Rest if you must but never quit and stay persistent for your dreams. There is definitely a big reason why I am doing this and it is for a fact that this should be my LAST week as a first year medical student. Nothing less. I know it's really difficult to pull yourself together during these trying times but we have to adapt to the situation we are in right now. I feel motivated and I need to study as much as I can to alter my studying mishaps for the entire year. First year was challenging for me because I am one of those students shocked by the Problem Based learning system and throughout the year I managed to try a lot of study routines until I got my niche (a little too late) and I have to be rigorous in my self analysis for the past weeks because I am given the opportunity to do so. I’m not proud of what happened, it was something I was not able to control in the best way I could but the only question that should stay in my mind is “WHAT IS THE BEST THING TO DO GIVEN THE SITUATION?” I started loving journaling as part of my daily routine to ground myself. I will document how I feel throughout the day and which of these changes in my study routine I will definitely bring to second year, medicine or PBL-2. Hopefully you’ll learn a thing or two and i’m always glad I can help you guys out. You're not alone!
