AO LADO DE JAQUES WAGNER, LULA DISCURSA NA BAHIA EM INAUGURAÇÃO DE HOSPITAL ESTADUAL

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, alongside Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues and Senator Jaques Wagner, inaugurated the North Coast State Hospital in Alagoinhas this Wednesday (1st). The unit is the first delivered in the country by the New PAC Health program and is part of the "Now There Are Specialists" program, reinforcing the commitment of the Federal Government and the Government of Bahia to expanding access to public health in the interior of the state. During the ceremony, Lula highlighted that the new hospital symbolizes the commitment to guaranteeing more dignity, equal opportunities, and quality care for the population, with modern equipment and specialized services. Senator Jaques Wagner also participated in the inauguration, reaffirming the role of the partnership between the federal and state governments in expanding the public health network in Bahia. With an investment of R$ 214.3 million, the North Coast State Hospital will serve 34 municipalities, benefiting approximately 800,000 people. The unit has 213 beds, including 30 ICU beds, and will offer highly complex care in areas such as oncology, neurology, cardiology, and neurosurgery, in addition to a modern bioimaging center and infrastructure focused on training healthcare professionals.
